This Privacy Policy explains how Maisonza handles personal information when you browse our website, create an account, publish or save a property, contact a property professional, use messaging and lead-management features, purchase a property promotion, or otherwise interact with Maisonza.

2. Information we collect
Account and profile information may include your name, email address, telephone number, account type, professional or company information, profile details and preferences.
Property and professional information may include listing descriptions, location information, pricing, media, professional verification information and documents you choose to submit.
Enquiry and communication information may include enquiry messages, conversation history, lead-management activity, follow-up information and support communications.
Payment and promotion information may include the package purchased, amount, currency, payment status, transaction reference and promotion period. Payment providers process payment credentials directly; Maisonza does not need to store full card or mobile-money credentials.
Usage and technical information may include property views, saves, referral or session information, browser and device details, timestamps, security events and diagnostic information used to operate and protect the service.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide and secure Maisonza, authenticate accounts, publish and manage listings, connect buyers or renters with property professionals, support enquiries and messaging, administer promotions, process payments through payment providers, prevent abuse, improve marketplace performance, provide analytics, respond to support requests and comply with applicable law.
Where applicable, processing may rely on consent, steps necessary to provide requested services, legal obligations, legitimate operational interests or another basis permitted by applicable law.
4. Marketplace visibility
Information intentionally published as part of a public property listing or public professional profile may be visible to anyone who visits Maisonza and may be indexed by search engines or other public discovery services.
Private account information, private professional notes, dashboard data and non-public verification materials are not intended for public display.
5. How information may be shared
We may share information with other Maisonza users when necessary to provide the feature you choose to use, such as sending an enquiry to the professional responsible for a listing.
We may use trusted service providers for hosting, databases, authentication, email delivery, payment processing, monitoring, security and related infrastructure. These providers may process information on our behalf subject to their own contractual and legal obligations.
We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to protect users or the service, to investigate fraud or misuse, or as part of a legitimate corporate transaction.
Maisonza does not sell personal information to advertisers.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Maisonza may use cookies, local storage, session identifiers and similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, security, user preferences and core service functionality.
If Maisonza introduces non-essential advertising or tracking technologies for which consent is legally required, we will provide an appropriate consent mechanism before using them where required.

Maisonza records first-party marketplace activity such as property views, saves and enquiries so that users and professionals can understand listing performance, manage leads and improve the marketplace.
We may aggregate or de-identify information for reporting, service improvement, security and business analysis where the resulting information no longer reasonably identifies an individual.
8. International service providers
Some service providers may process or store information outside Ghana. Where this occurs, Maisonza will take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances to use providers and safeguards designed to protect personal information.
9. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain transaction and security records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and meet legal or regulatory obligations.
Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information and why it was collected. Information may also remain in backups for a limited period after deletion from active systems.
10. Security
Maisonza uses technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure and loss. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

11. Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to request information about the personal data held about you, request correction of inaccurate information, object to certain processing, request that certain processing stop, and object to direct marketing.

12. Children
Maisonza is intended for users who can lawfully use the marketplace and enter into relevant transactions. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can review the situation.
